The first floor is essentially complete and ready for move, except for water. That’s still an ongoing saga that will hopefully be cleared up once and for all, tomorrow. If only the city knew where it put its water line and how they want me to tap it. That’s another (long) story.
Due to the delays with moving in based on water and final inspections, I pursued projects I was not expecting to do until after I moved in. The tile in the kitchenette is now installed, so one less thing to do later. The picture doesn’t show the backsplash, but it’s in too.

The shower doors are in, so the bathroom is 100% now.

The accent walls are completed and I even brought over art to start hanging (not shown).

And I was just able to install one of my favorite pieces: my neon sign. I purchased it right after Harvey wipes out many of my belongings and it’s like it was always meant to be above my entrance door.

Can not wait to see it finished. Looking good!

Being a welder and metal artist this is amazing. I am a true fan of recycling/up cycling, especially metal, and introducing nature/natural mediums into projects. The black and white interior, bathroom and kitchen, was an excellent choice. Love the whole concept of a container home. Than you for sharing.
