The skeleton of the entry deck was done at the last minute, last weekend. So it was the plan to complete that this weekend. I ordered all the deck boards to be picked up today. Quite a challenge to get over 40 2×6 boards, posts, and concrete down to the site. But after a bunch of trips arm-carrying supplies down there and with the use of a power auger, I got the posts set in concrete and the deck boards set.
Now that the entry deck is finished, it will be much easier to access the containers once they arrive and are set. An 8×20 deck at the entry gives easier access. Something that would have been typically last has now been done first, but for functional reasons. No ladders will be needed to get inside and staging tools and supplies will definitely be easier with a deck already completed at the front door.
