Last week I posted about completing the kitchen. This week it was plumbing and the bathrooms.
While I can’t say I have one completed bathroom yet, I do have two that are half complete. The smaller bathroom had the shower working already, so it got floor tile this week. The upstairs bathroom had nothing working and got a little more attention. I put down the bulk of the floor tile, connected and tested the vanity sinks, and got it looking a little more complete. I really like the natural, black slate that I am using in that one. I think the focus of the coming weekend will be the shower and its tile. Other than paint, I may be able to check off working bathrooms after one more weekend.

The bigger news is that I finished the plumbing under the house. I would like to be able to say that I got it connected to the septic, but even after two trips to Home Depot, I was still short one fitting – the one that connects the main drain to the tanks. While plumbing, especially with access like this under the house, is not the most complicated thing, it can be a challenge to get everything lined up so that you can get it properly seated and glued, especially when there are somewhat complicated inlets all near each other. Although it took much longer than what I would have liked, it is complete, working, and tested. I couldn’t find any leaks, which is always a good thing.
