Primary closet completion

I am really bad about making timely posts. I only seem to realize this after someone comments on something older and I go back to look at the site.

I finished the primary closet at the Houston house months ago. Even though it is being used for climate controlled storage, the end game is that it will serve as the primary closet as part of the primary suite.

I always feel very fortunate that I was able to reuse products or use remnants from some very high end projects. My project isn’t that high end, but who would say no to a nearly perfect Italian closet system, even if they are slightly different styles. Same for the wood floors. Under 400 square feet is unusable for the projects I have worked on, but makes for the perfect amount for a single room. Like everything else on these projects in the last few years, it was all done by me, singlehandedly. There are obvious benefits and drawbacks to that. Jack of all trades, master of none. Regardless, I am happy with the outcome and even just this one area saves me from needing a storage unit.

I work in design and a segment of construction for my day job. Building my own house became a passion and using shipping containers is what motivated me. With enough experience in it at this point, I am confident in doing more of it. I like the challenge of building but also being able to have control of the design and the process.
